Francis Ngumbi appointed to inaugural Britam Youth Advisory Council

The Kisima Farm group CFO joins the council alongside eight other young professionals from across Britam's operating markets.

Kisima Farm group CFO Francis Ngumbi has been appointed to the inaugural Britam Youth Advisory Council, with effect from 20 July 2026.

The council, established by Britam Holdings , is a platform designed to provide structured youth insights to inform the insurer's product development, customer experience, brand engagement, and financial inclusion initiatives.

Members are drawn from across Britam's markets in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Malawi, and must be between 24 and 37 years of age.

Francis began his career at Genpact's Africa Business Services Centre in 2011 as a payables and receivables accountant before moving to The Coca-Cola Company in 2012 as a marketing procurement analyst covering 15 markets across East, Central, and West Africa.

He joined Diageo in June 2013 as a finance planning and reporting analyst for EABL International Markets, based in London, serving as a business partner for exports to Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and European markets.

In June 2016 he moved to Beiersdorf as regional commercial controller for Central and West Africa, covering 18 markets and based in Accra, before joining Tata International in August 2019 as head of finance for Kenya, a role he held for over four years.

He joined Kisima Farm as group CFO in December 2023.

He holds an MCom in strategic management from Strathmore Business School, a BCom in finance from Kenyatta University, and is currently completing the Oxford Senior Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School.
