Hannah's confirmation follows her progression from finance manager to acting CFO after Moses Kang'ethe transitioned to the COO role.

Hannah Kariithi has been appointed chief finance officer of Britam Life Assurance Company (Kenya) , confirmed in the substantive role she has held in an acting capacity since May 2026.

Her appointment is part of a series of leadership moves at Britam Group that began when Moses Kang'ethe stepped up to acting chief executive officer, vacating the CFO seat Hannah had already stepped into.

Hannah joined Britam Life Assurance in October 2025 as finance manager and was appointed acting CFO seven months later.

She brings over thirteen years of insurance finance experience, having served as deputy manager of finance at MUA Mauritius and East Africa for five years, finance manager at Cannon Group, and earlier roles at Phoenix of East Africa and Kenya Orient Insurance. She began her career as an audit assistant at Crowe Erastus and Co.

Hannah holds a BCom in accounting from the University of Nairobi and is a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
