Dr Karimi Ngeera, finance director at HEVA Fund, is among the nominees for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards, with expertise in blended finance, impact investing and creative economy finance.
HEVA Fund finance director Dr Karimi Ngeera has been nominated for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards.
Since February 2024, Karimi has served as finance director at HEVA Fund, where she leads financial strategy and investment decision-making for a vehicle focused on accelerating access to capital for creative and cultural enterprises across Africa.
Before that, she served as finance and grants manager at the Centre for Public Health and Development from May 2021 to November 2023, and concurrently as finance lead at Includovate.
Earlier in her career, she served as head of finance at Power Transmission and Control Services, finance and administration manager at Two Ems Associates, and as an accountant at Centenary Sacco.
Karimi holds a DBA from United States International University Africa, an MBA in finance from Kenya Methodist University, and a BCom in finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She is a certified public accountant (CPA-K).
Dubbed the "Oscars of Finance", the CFO Awards celebrate leaders who raise the bar for financial leadership across East Africa.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners will be announced.
