The region's first dedicated creative economy investment fund brings its senior finance team into East Africa's most active community of finance leaders.
HEVA Fund has joined CFO East Africa as a corporate member, with finance director Dr Karimi Ngeera gaining full access to the community's events and networks, alongside Nehemia Kabugi, finance manager, and Robert Gatimu, senior finance officer.
They will attend CFO summits across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, as well as affiliated events in South Africa, including CFO Day, Executive Day and the Finance Indaba.
The package also includes print editions of CFO East Africa and CFO South Africa magazines, certificates for up to 56 hours of verifiable CPD, and invitations to the annual CFO Awards in both regions.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Nairobi, HEVA Fund is a finance, business support and knowledge facility for the creative industries in East Africa. The fund invests in businesses across the fashion, digital content, film, music, crafts and decor value chains, with operations spanning Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia. Since its founding, HEVA has supported over 2,000 creatives and more than 40 businesses across the region.
Corporate membership is available to CFOs who would like to support the community's activities while extending growth benefits to their senior finance team members at an annual investment of $1,950.
