I&M Bank Rwanda joins CFO East Africa as corporate member

Rwanda's oldest commercial bank signs up as a corporate member, bringing a six-strong cross-functional leadership team into the community.

I&M Bank Rwanda has joined CFO East Africa as a corporate member.

CFO Dederi Wimana gains full access to the community's events, insights, and networks, alongside other senior company executives including Gustave Shema, head of finance, Alfred Kalisa, head of assets and liabilities management, Aline Mutambuka, chief human capital officer, Patrick Ntwali, head of IT, and Jawahar Manickam, chief information security officer.

The team will attend CFO summits across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, as well as affiliated events in South Africa, including CFO Day, Executive Day and the Finance Indaba.

The package also includes print editions of CFO East Africa and CFO South Africa magazines, certificates for up to 56 hours of verifiable CPD, and invitations to the annual CFO Awards in both regions.

Incorporated in 1963, I&M Bank Rwanda is the oldest bank in Rwanda and the second largest by total assets, with a balance sheet of approximately USD 579 million as at December 2024. It is a subsidiary of I&M Group , a regional financial services group with operations in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Corporate membership is available to CFOs who would like to support the community's activities while extending growth benefits to their senior finance team members at an annual investment of $1,950.
