Sekou Kaba is the chief financial officer of Africa Global Logistics Tanzania, a role he assumed in January 2024.
He began his career in January 1998 as an accountant at Hôtel Palm Camayenne, where he handled income control, cashier management, cost control, and payroll accounting. In December 2001, he joined A.P. Moller – Maersk as chief accountant, gradually taking on roles of increasing responsibility over a 10-year period. These included finance manager, cluster CFO, and deputy CFO across multiple countries including Guinea, Liberia, Angola, and Mauritania.
In March 2013, he became corporate project manager for Damco in Dakar, where he led the establishment of new legal entities and implemented group processes. He then joined Bolloré Transport & Logistics in February 2014, initially serving as finance and administration manager in Banjul before becoming CFO in Lubumbashi in March 2015. In May 2021, he was promoted to financial director for Côte d’Ivoire, a position he held until early 2023, before relocating to Tanzania for his current role.
Sekou holds a master’s degree in management from Université Gamal Abdel Nasser, a technical diploma in accounting and management from Institut Koffi Annan, and has completed executive training in general management and strategy at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.
