Emmanuel Mugagga nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards

Emmanuel Mugagga, CFO at Uganda National Oil Company, is among the nominees for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards, with over 25 years of finance experience across the oil and gas industry.

Uganda National Oil Company CFO Emmanuel Mugagga has been nominated for the 2026 CFO East Africa Awards.

Since January 2017, he has served as CFO at Uganda National Oil Company, where he also serves as alternate director for the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline Company.

Before that, he spent three years at Tullow Oil as business support and planning manager for Uganda. He began his career at Shell, where he worked for 11 years as a business analyst across downstream operations.

Emmanuel is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a BCom from Makerere University, as well as an MBA.

Dubbed the "Oscars of Finance", the CFO Awards celebrate leaders who raise the bar for financial leadership across East Africa.

The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners will be announced.
